Dancing On Ice 2019: 'Upset' Gemma Collins 'skips training' ahead of Sunday's live show

Dancing On Ice has been making headlines since the series started earlier this month and one contestant who has been at the forefront of the drama is Gemma Collins.

Viewers will be anticipating this Sunday’s live show to see her routine as she takes to the ice once again.

But it seems her performance could fall flat as it has been reported how she has been missing training due to the publicity and interest of the show.

According to fellow skating contestant Brian McFadden, the TOWIE star has been “doing her own thing”.

During a conversation with Heart Breakfast earlier today, the Westlife singer spoke out about his friend coping with backlash.

He said: “I love [Gemma], she’s so funny. She’s doing her own thing.

“I’ve supported Gemma from day one on this. She’s got her character GC and lot of people don’t like it.

“She hasn’t turned up for certain things, and when she gets upset if there is a certain things about her in the newspapers, she will go home early.

“She is very, very sensitive. There’s the GC who doesn’t care about anything, and then there’s Gemma who is very very sensitive.”

It comes after last week’s performance which scored extremely low points, a grand total of 13 points which was accompanied by criticism over the lack of skating content.

Nevertheless, Gemma’s fans rallied behind her and voted her through to week three.

As for Brian and professional skating partner Alex Murphy, he scored 22 points and sat in fourth place on the leaderboard.

This weekend another celebrity will leave the competition and it seems Saira Khan will be the third to leave.

It comes as Oddschecker have revealed the odds for which famous face will be eliminated next.

And the Loose Woman, with odds at 2/1 could be skating for the last time.

DANCING ON ICE 2019: DID JASON GARDINER SELL A STORY ON GEMMA COLLINS?

But it seems she will be facing the dreaded skate-off with Ryan Sidebottom or Didi Conn.

Both have 3/1 odds of leaving the show following their live performance.

As for who is tipped to win the 2019 series, if James Jordan continues delivering stellar performances he is sure to take the crown.

With a 9/5 chances at being number one, the former Strictly Come Dancing professional could have a major advantage over the other contestants.

Dancing On Ice returns this Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
