Ivanka Trump is often seen with her father in Washington on government business. She was made a senior advisor to the president on his election, as was her husband Jared Kushner. Ivanka then moved to Washington to be near her the president. What is she doing during the government shutdown?
On Wednesday Ivanka showed she was still active at the White House.
The political advisor posed with two sportsmen on the green of the historic building.
She captioned the image: “Congratulations Mariano Rivera for making history and becoming the first player ever unanimously elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame!

She also posted an image stood with her father, cheering children on as they competed in a race.
Ivanka’s recent business moves also came to light today.
It was revealed by CBS News that Ivanka Trump has secured trademarks from China.
The presidents daughter, who recently said goodbye to her business career with the eponymous Ivanka Trump clothing and jewellery brand, has five trademarks in the country.
On Sunday Ivanka Trump trademarks for care centres, sunglasses and wedding dresses were revealed.
Ivanka Trump closed her clothing brand in July 2018.
The mother-of-three released a statement to announce the closure.
“When we first started this brand, no one could have predicted the success that we would achieve,” the statement read.
“After 17 months in Washington, I do not know when or if I will ever return to the business, but I do know that my focus for the foreseeable future will be the work I am doing here in Washington, so making this decision now is the only fair outcome for my team and partners.”
“I am beyond grateful for the work of our incredible team who has inspired so many women; each other and myself included.
“While we will not continue our mission together, I know that each of them will thrive in their next chapter.”
But could Ivanka be planning more business ventures in China in the future?
