UFC star Conor McGregor tweets about Ole Gunnar Solksjaer after Man Utd beat Arsenal

The UFC star tweeted on Friday night following United’s 3-1 FA Cup win over Arsenal at the Emirates.

Goals from Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez saw United through to a dominant win as Pierre Emereck-Aubameyang pulled one back for the Gunners.

The win was United’s eighth in a row since sacking Jose Mourinho in December.

Solksjaer took over on a caretaker basis, after Old Trafford chiefs agreed a deal with Molde.

He will stay until the end of the season at least, but many fans and pundits want him to get the full-time job.

According to reports, many members of the United first team also want the Norwegian to get the role.

And now, it appears McGregor also wants to see the former striker take the job.

Taking to Twitter, he praised Solksjaer for his attacking football he’s implemented since taking over.

“Ole Gunnar Solskjær is a special man!” he wrote.

“The Man United Super Sub.

“Player AND Manager. Insane!

“You can feel the passion he has for his club and it’s history.

“Beaming with pride as he vividly explains the teams amazing counter attacking ability over the years. Past and present! Wow!”

McGregor has been out of the cage since October 6, when he was submitted by Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight title.

He is expected to take on Donald Cowboy Cerrone next after the pair both talked up the chances of a fight.

However, the Irishman is still suspended and awaiting punishment after the post-fight incident stemming from UFC 229.
