Now the sequel is heading to cinemas for fans young and old to delight in.

According to the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), The Lego Movie 2 is rated U.
The BBF writes: “A U film should be suitable for audiences aged four years and over, although it is impossible to predict what might upset any particular child.
“U films should be set within a positive framework and should offer reassuring counterbalances to any violence, threat or horror.
“If a work is particularly suitable for pre-school children, this will be indicated in the BBFCinsight.”

The movie’s February 8, 2019 release date is its third release date, previously having been scheduled for May 26, 2017, then May 18, 2018.
According to Deadline, The Lego Movie 2 is estimated to earn a gross profit of £34.2-41.9 million ($45–55m) over its opening weekend.

In the USA, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) gave The Lego Movie sequel is rated PG, which stands for Parental Guidance.
This also means that in America the movie is not suitable for all, but only for those over eight.
But in the UK, The Lego Movie 2 is available for children of all ages.
