Melania Trump SNUBBED by husband on their anniversary? Not one SINGLE mention of FLOTUS

Trump is known to tweet indiscriminately about almost anything. But he failed to mention his wife even once on the social media platform on their anniversary day on Tuesday this week. The President did, however, send thirteen separate tweets on the day – none of which made reference to his wife, the First Lady.

Trump began his anniversary tweeting about Nick Sandmann, the student wearing the red Make America Great Again hat whose filmed confrontation with a Native American elder at the March For Life on January 18 went viral.

At 7.32am ET, Trump tweeted: “Nick Sandmann and the students of Covington have become symbols of Fake News and how evil it can be.”

Minutes later, quoting his favourite media outlet Fox News, the Republican firebrand lashed out again, blaming the partial US government shutdown on his Democratic foes.

Not 13 minutes later the president continued with his now weeks-long rant about the need for a border wall with Mexico, saying: “Without a wall, our country can never have border or national security.

“With a powerful wall or steel barrier, crime rates (and drugs) will go substantially down all over the US the Democrats know this but want to play political games. Must finally be done correctly. No cave!”

Lambasting the ‘Fake News’ media in a later tweet Trump attacked media commentary on his World Economic Forum attendance.

He said: “Last time I went to Davos, the Fake News said I should not go there.

“This year, because of the shutdown, I decided not to go, and the Fake News said I should be there.

“The fact is that the people understand the media better than the media understands them!”

The President even tweeted his congratulations to Mariano Rivera on “unanimously being elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame” later in the evening.

But First Lady Melania did not get a single mention all day.

The President also failed to tweet anything about his wife on their anniversary in 2018, in an indication public displays of affection are not to the taste of the ‘first couple’.

The First Lady rarely speaks in public, preferring to keep a relatively low profile.

She did, however, break her silence after a month-long absence from the public eye on January 20 last week.

In a rare tweet, she said: “It has been an unforgettable two years in the White House.

“I am honoured to serve this great nation!”
