Leading Christian preacher says Jesus may have SINNED due to crucial Bible passage

Most Christians believe Jesus is the son of God who passed on his values. And the Bible, which is believed to be God’s word, claims Jesus never once went against the law of his apparent father. However, leading preacher Chris Ryan revealed one strange thing that occurs in his story, during the documentary “Investigating The Historical Jesus”.

While at the Jordan River, Jesus is baptised by John the Baptist, but this ritual is supposed to be the repentance of sins.

According to Mathew 3:16 – 17: “As soon as Jesus was baptised, he went up out of the water.

“At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.

“And a voice from heaven said: ‘This is my Son, whom I love, with him I am well pleased’.”

Father Ryan revealed in the 2016 documentary: “Jesus was baptised and it was one of those moments where a ritual had been taken and given a new meaning because of him.

“Why would Jesus be baptised? Jesus was supposed to be sinless.

“So if this is for the forgiveness of sins, why does Jesus need it?”

However, Father John discussed the possibility Jesus was repenting for his followers instead of himself.

He added: “When he was asked by John, John says ‘you should be baptising me’ and Jesus says: ‘Let this be as righteousness to man’s’.

“He is the sinless one, but he was entering into the human condition and saying ‘I identify with you’.”

Jesus was said to be the Messiah, meaning it was up to him to pass the word of God and free the world of sin.

According to John 1:29: [Jesus was] “the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.”

Therefore, Christians argue this act was instead a sacrifice, much like his crucifixion.
