Galaxy S10 beaten? Major rival revealed ahead of Samsung flagship release

Galaxy S10 is expected to debut on February 20 at Samsung’s scheduled hardware event in San Francisco.

The device has been heavily rumoured to bring a swathe of new and innovative features for Android enthusiasts.

Galaxy S10 is expected to come in at least three versions, all of which have been claimed to arrive with all-screen designs.

However, it is anticipated the handsets will flaunt holes within their respective displays to house each’s front-facing camera.

While the Galaxy S10 is presumed to arrive in standard and “+” models, a cheaper variant of the handset is also expected.

Such a device will surely forgo some features to achieve its more appealing price tag.

The most notable of which was claimed by Bloomberg to be a signature Samsung curved panel.

This means the handset is expected to come with a flat screen.

Back in November the Wall Street Journal insisted Samsung may be set to break previous product tradition further by announcing a fourth version of the S10.

The outlet claimed such a device was capable of delivering 5G network speeds, had six cameras and a colossal 6.7-inch display.

While the Galaxy S10 will surely be incredibly appealing to Android enthusiasts, it appears LG is determined to challenge the handset with a new flagship device set to debut at Mobile World Congress (MWC), a technology show taking place five days after the scheduled reveal of the S10.

Ahead of the South Korean OEM’s exhibition in Barcelona, it has discussed some details about its forthcoming 5G smartphone that will be revealed at the event.

LG has declared its new flagship will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 855 chipset and will come with a huge 4,000mAh battery.

At the start of the month renowned tipster Ice Universe posted an image that appeared to out the battery capacities for each Galaxy S10 model.

They were:

• Galaxy S10 Lite – 3,100mAh

• Galaxy S10 – 3,500mAh

• Galaxy S10+ – 4,000mAh

Some variants of the Galaxy S10 are also expected to be powered by the same chipset while others are anticipated to house Samsung’s own processors.

LG also declared the forthcoming device will come with a “vapour chamber” inside that can house twice the amount of water than its V40 ThinQ phone.

Such a feature is expected to make the device run cool even when under intense loads.

Unfortunately, neither the design or price of the handset was discussed.

However, based on the few details that have been noted, it appears the phone could be on course to challenge the S10 mere days after Samsung has announced it.
