Coronation Street cast: Daniel Brocklebank SPLITS from boyfriend after two years

Daniel Brocklebank, 38, has reportedly separated from his partner, Stuart Hatton, 33, shortly before Christmas after two years of dating. It’s been claimed the couple broke up due to busy work commitments. An insider told The Sun Online: “Dan is really busy with Corrie and Stuart has his business interests in the north east. “They just don’t have the time and they sat down and had the talk to end things.

“There’s no-one else involved, things just didn’t work out and they decided to move on.”

The source addd: “They still care about each other and wish each other the best.”

The couple met at Stockholm Pride in 2017.

Stuart is a former Mr Gay UK winning the competition in 2013 and 2014.

Express.co.uk have contacted Daniel’s representatives for comment.

A spokesperson has confirmed the split to The Sun.

Meanwhile, Daniel recently took to Instagram to share a snap of himself alongside his co-star, Jack P Shepherd who plays David Platt in Coronation Street.

The pair appeared in high spirits at the National Television Awards on Tuesday night despite not scooping an award.

Daniel captioned the post: “I b***y love this guy!! @jackpshepherd88 #NTA @coronation street.”

Fans rushed to comment on the photo as one person wrote: “Keep up the good work gents. Fantastic work from both of you!!”

Another person said: “@jackpshepherd should of won,” while a third person replied: “I was hoping that you would have won I crossed my fingers for you.”

Jack was nominated for Outstanding Serial Drama Performance at the National Television Awards but lost out to EastEnders star Danny Dyer.

The actor recently revealed he had decided to undergo a hair transplant after his hair loss “escalated” in the past 12 months.

Jack underwent the procedure during the Christmas break which included having more than 3,000 hairs implanted into the front off his scalp by surgeon Asim Shahmalak from Crown Clinic in Manchester.

He said: “It is such a common thing for guys to have now – like a male version of the boob job.

“I decided to have it done because my hair loss has really escalated in the last year, particularly at the front of my scalp.”

Jack continued: “I remember seeing myself on screen and thinking, ‘Oh my God, it is really falling out’.”

“One of my mates had a transplant and he looked so much better afterwards that I didn’t recognise him. I was blown away by the improvement and he told me he wished he had done it earlier.”

Coronation Street continues tonight on ITV at 7pm.
