Piers Morgan: GMB host called out for EDITING NTAs picture by TV rival Dan Walker

Piers Morgan, 53, posted a picture of himself, Susanna Reid, Charlotte Hawkins, Kate Garraway, Ranvir Singh and Laura Tobin to his Twitter in view of his 6.53 million followers. He captioned the picture: “Proof that we have the hottest show on TV… @GMB @CharlotteHawkns @ranvir01 @susannareid100 @kategarraway @Lauratobin1 #NTAs.” Today, Dan Walker, 41, highlighted that his rival had cropped out Alex Beresford and Sean Fletcher and quizzed him on his reasons why. The BBC Breakfast host shared a picture of the original snap which included the star’s male co-stars and asked Piers: “What happened to the rest of the ‘team’? [Crying with laughter emojis] #Crop.”

Piers replied: “They didn’t meet the required aesthetic level for crop selection.”

Dan then humorously shared the same picture with Piers cropped out.

Elsewhere at the National Television Awards 2019 on Tuesday night, Piers took a swipe at Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield after This Morning beat Good Morning Britain to the Best Daytime Show award.

The host jokingly refused to clap for the TV duo as they took to the stage to collect their award.

He also gave a disappointed look to the camera, while Susanna and the rest of his team applauded them.

ITV shared a GIF of the moment to their official Twitter page with two million followers.

They wrote: “Bad luck, @PiersMorgan.

“We can tell you’re absolutely delighted for @ThisMorning for scooping Best Daytime Show though. Vegan sausage rolls all round!

“@Schofe @HollyWills @RuthieeL @RochelleHumes @EamonnHolmes @AlisonHammond2 @OfficialNTAs #NTAs.”

Piers also shared the GIF to his Twitter page, writing: “Absolutely thrilled for the snivelling little wretches.”

The day after the ceremony, Piers and Susanna quizzed their co-star Laura Tobin about her hangover.

Live on-air, Laura began to explain how she got home, but Susanna jumped in and mimicked her voice.

Susanna asked her: “Laura, are you still drunk?”

Piers added: “You know we’re on air… it’s not a chat.”

Laura eventually started her sentence again and told viewers she still owed a cab driver £25 after realising she had no money on her.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
