Cole Beasley clarifies position on Cowboys future after making Twitter claims

The 29-year-old wide receiver insists all he wants to do is “help my team win.”

Beasley previously took to social media to criticise the Cowboys’ front office and claim they push “whothey want to get the ball to” and that he wasn’t a “huge priority” when it came to being targeted.

Beasley, who will be a free agent in March, felt people aren’t fully understanding the point he was trying to make.

“Some are misunderstanding my point,” Beasley said.

“Every team’s game plan in pro sports is dictated by the front office.

“Big free agent additions, high draft picks, etc are going to get the most opps.

“And I’m not mad at that! Lol I just want to help my team win.

“All good players want the rock.”

With his contract up soon, Beasley admitted yesterday it doesn’t necessarily mean he will be leaving Dallas.

“Doesn’t mean I’m gone,” he said on Twitter.

“I’ll play anywhere where I can make more of an impact.

“I would love for that to be Dallas or anywhere else that will give me more pops to make an impact.

“I just wanna ball. It’s hard with 3 to 4 opps a game.”

Beasley had one of his best regular seasons in this campaign, after he finished with 65 receptions for 672 yards and three touchdowns.

In the Cowboys two post season games Beasley had a total of four receptions for 43 yards.

Dallas made a poor start to the season, but drastically improved in the second part and made the playoffs with a 10-6 record.

After beating the Seattle Seahawks 24-22 in the Wild Card round of the playoffs they came up short against the Los Angeles Rams losing 30-22.
