Neymar leaves pitch in TEARS after PSG star suffers GRUESOME injury ahead of Man Utd tie

Neymar has limped out of PSG’s French Cup showdown with Strasbourg after sustaining a serious-looking ankle injury.

The Brazil international was seen in tears at the blow and was replaced by Moussa Diaby just after the hour mark.

The news of Neymar’s injury will come as a major blow with PSG due to meet Manchester United in the next round of the Champions League on February 12.

If he has sprained his ankle then the 26-year-old is expected to miss the next six weeks.

The return leg is March 6.

PSG will already be without Marco Verratti, who hobbled out of their 9-0 victory over Guincamp.

“Marco Verratti’s MRI scan conducted after the match against Guingamp confirmed a twisted left ankle without any further damage,” a statement read.

“The evolution of the injury over the coming days with treatment and further examinations will allow the club to establish how long the player will need to fully recover.”

Ahead of facing United in the Champions League, Kylian Mbappe has warned his team-mates of the dangers Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will pose.

“I think Manchester United is always a top side,” Mbappe told sport24 in Dubai.

“It’s not easy to play any team in the Champions League, we are going to do our best.”

PSG went on to beat Strasbourg 2-0.
