Laura Tobin: 'Still drunk?' Susanna Reid quizzes GMB star after she fails to pay NTAs cab

Following her forecast, Good Morning Britain star Laura Tobin, 37, said to the cameras: “I have something to say I forgot. “So yesterday… when we were leaving they said we would get cabs,” but Susanna Reid interrupted and jokingly asked her: “Laura, are you still drunk?” Piers Morgan quipped: “You know we’re on air… it’s not a chat.” Laughing, the meteorologist attempted to start her conversation again, but Susanna interrupted and jokingly mimicked her voice.

Laura eventually started her sentence again and said: “Yesterday they said join this queue and get a cab and it will all get sorted out.

“I got to my hotel, it [the cab] was £25 and I didn’t have any money so I owe Paul Thomas £25.”

Piers then asked her: “Where did you end up in your cab last night?”

Laura replied: “At my hotel…”

Susanna then could be heard saying: “She’s not going to remember,” to which Laura replied: “He just dropped me off.”

But Charlotte Hawkins vowed she had been to two after-parties.

Last night, Good Morning Britain missed out on the award for Best Daytime show to This Morning.

Following the latter’s win, Piers took to Twitter to take a humorous swipe at the show’s hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

ITV shared a GIF of the moment Piers refused to clap for This Morning’s win to their official Twitter page with two million followers.

They wrote: “Bad luck, @PiersMorgan.

“We can tell you’re absolutely delighted for @ThisMorning for scooping Best Daytime Show though. Vegan sausage rolls all round!

“@Schofe @HollyWills @RuthieeL @RochelleHumes @EamonnHolmes @AlisonHammond2 @OfficialNTAs #NTAs.”

Piers shared the clip to his five Twitter millions followers, commenting: “Absolutely thrilled for the snivelling little wretches.”

Ahead of the show, Piers vowed to go vegan for a week, while Susanna said she’d give up her drinking-ban if they won.

Piers previously told viewers: “If you vote for us, and we win, Susanna Reid will break her alcohol-free [diet] – which has now been going on for about six months.”

Susanna added: “I will get absolutely hammered.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
