Dianne Buswell: Strictly pro admits she ‘never thought’ Joe Sugg romance would happen

Dianne Buswell, 29, attended the National Television Awards 2019 with her Strictly Come Dancing co-star Amy Dowden last night.

And at the star-studded bash, the Australian dancer couldn’t help but gush over her boyfriend Joe Sugg, 27.

Dianne said their relationship has been “great” and denied they wind each other up after spending so much time together.

The redheaded beauty told OK! at the awards: “No! no no. We just get on so well.

“I never ever thought it would happen. It’s been absolutely amazing.”

Dianne added: “I’m really happy.”

The Strictly Come Dancing star also admitted she’s still the “boss” and gets away with “anything”.

After the awards ceremony, where Strictly Come Dancing won for Best Talent Show, Dianne visited her beau who didn’t attend the evening.

Joe uploaded a video to his Instagram of him and Dianne celebrating the BBC show’s win and filmed himself giving her a present.

“Congratulations!” he bellowed. “I don’t have a cake… I’ve just got an orange. Well done on the award.”

“For winning?” she questioned, before correcting him: “You won as well,” following his appearance in the latest season, which came to an end last month.

“I know,” he responded, after handing over the fruit with the sparkler in it. “Careful… I don’t want to set the house on fire.”

He replied: “No. I’m proud of you, well done. Well done my love,” after she first joined the BBC programme in 2017.

“This is my own NTA award right here, it’s cool,” she added, before he once again urged: “Careful of my ceiling.”

Last night, Joe revealed why he didn’t go to the bash with his girlfriend and explained all on his Instagram in front of his 5.8 million followers.

The vlogger uploaded a video of himself sitting down in a restaurant with his pals and filmed them all smiling to the camera.

Joe revealed he decided to ditch the awards to spend time with his close friends instead.

He wrote on the clip: “I’m not at the NTAs. I haven’t seen these losers for months and I actually miss them.”

He continued: “It’s my one day off and we planned to have dinner together before I even knew what the NTAs were.”
