Coronation Street spoilers: Nick Tilsley turns ‘EVIL’ as he takes revenge on David Platt?

Coronation Street has teased viewers that a new villain will appear in upcoming months, but it will be a resident fans are familiar with.

Suspicion has been rife as to which character possess the characteristics show runner Iain MacLeod described and it seems all eyes are looking at Nick Tilsley (played by Ben Price).

On-screen brother David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) has spoken out about the change in Nick set to be exposed in upcoming episodes.

During a conversation with Digital Spy at the National Television Awards, Jack revealed how Nick is going to turn “evil”.

In a storyline set to last a year, the two brothers are going to go head to head in one almighty soap feud.

“I didn’t know this, but Iain came out and said that it’s gonna go on for like a year,” the actor explained.

“I thought it was done, but apparently it’s not! It’s gonna go on for a bit and they’re gonna be a bit bad, a bit sort of evil.

“We’ve never seen that side to Nick, which is interesting. They can go down that route and sort of blame it on his brain injury, that David sort of gave him!”

Jack revealed the inspiration behind the new storyline and compared it to “the Cain and Abel Biblical story”.

“They’ve wanted to do that for a while, for a long time they’ve wanted to do that, but it’s never quite happened so it’s nice that Iain’s exploring that,” the actor concluded.

It comes after the surprising news that Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia) will be killed off later this year.

With a mysterious factory collapse storyline looming this spring, some fans are convinced Rana could be involved in some way.

It comes as Rana is due to marry Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) and according to The Mirro, her death will be on the say day as her wedding.

Will she tragically die in the one she loves’ arms?

Actress Bhavna confirmed the news herself via a video she posted on her Twitter account.

She said: “I do have some news: My journey at Coronation Street will be coming to an end.

“But don’t worry guys, I have extended my contract, I’ve had a wonderful time here but there’s still lots more to film.”

She went on to praise her producer, adding: “And I’m grateful to Iain [MacLeod] for respecting my decision to leave, and we have collaborated to come up with an amazing exit storyline.”

I really should get going now,” she signed off. “Because these scenes aren’t going to film themselves!”

It follows the actress decision to kill Rana off rather than allow her to leave Coronation Street with the possibility of being able to return.

“She wanted Rana to be killed off as she didn’t like the idea of just splitting them up as it would upset the fans of the show,” a source told The Mirror apparently.

Coronation Street returns Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
