PlayStation Plus February 2019 free PS4 games: BAD NEWS for PS Plus subscribers

PlayStation Plus subscribers face an extra long wait to find out the February 2019 free PS4 games.

With January coming to an end, PS Plus members would likely be expecting an announcement by Sony this week.

Unfortunately, however, the PlayStation Plus free games lineup won’t be unveiled until Wednesday, January 30.

Then it’s an extra wait for the PS Plus freebies to be released on February 5.

On the plus side, the short month means that the March 2019 free games will be available exactly four weeks later on March 5.

There’s currently no word on the free PS4 games selection, although Sony has been busy giving subscribers and non-subscribers lots of bonuses throughout the month of January.

This includes a free trial for Firewall Zero Hour on PlayStation VR, as well as a big discount on a new membership.

Available to lapsed members only, Sony has knocked £5 off the 3-month PlayStation Plus subscription, which is down from £20 to £15.

Elsewhere, a 12-month PS Plus subscription has been reduced from £50 to £37.50. That’s a saving of 25%.

The offer is only available until January 24, so you’d better hurry if you want to grab a bargain.

If you do decide to subscribe before February 5, then you’ll be able to grab the January 2019 free games.

Steep and Portal Knights headline the free PlayStation Plus games list for the month of January.

PS3 owners can download Zone of the Enders HD Collection and Amplitude, while Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion and Super Mutant Alien Assault are available on PlayStation Vita.

Due to cross-platform compatibility, Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion is also playable on PS4.

Tune in next week for a look at what’s to come in February 2019.
