Derrick Rose has been in fine form for the Timberwolves this season and recently buried a 20-foot, tie-breaking jump shot with less than a second remaining to give his team a 116-114 victory over the Phoenix Suns.
The Timberwolves trailed 110-106 before Rose capped a 31-point performance by scoring eight of Minnesota’s final 10 points over the closing 3:25.
“It’s about damn time I made one of those,” Rose said.
“It felt good. At the same time, it gave me more confidence.”
The Timberwolves will battle it out against the Suns again tonight.
Rose is regularly cheered on at his games by wife Alaina Anderson and his young daughter.
