PlayStation Plus February 2019: Sony delivers another FREE PS Plus boost for PS4

PlayStation Plus subscribers have been given another free PS4 games boost ahead of the February 2019 reveal.

As previously announced, anybody with an active PS Plus subscription and a PlayStation VR headset was able to take advantage of a free Firewall Zero Hour trial over the weekend.

And while the trial was originally scheduled to run from January 18 until January 20, Sony has decided to extend the freebie until later on tonight.

“If you already downloaded #FirewallZeroHour for the PS Plus free weekend, the trial has been extended through 9pm Pacific Time on Monday, 1/21. See you online!” reads a Sony tweet.

It’s especially good news for UK PS Plus subscribers, who will be able to continue playing until 5am GMT on January 22.

“We can’t wait to welcome so many new PS VR players to the fray!” reads a Sony blog post.

“The Firewall Zero Hour: Weekend Trial Demo will include all the pulse-pounding modes of the full game (Single Player Training – Player vs. AI, Multiplayer Training – Co-op vs AI, and Multiplayer Contracts – PVP Players vs Players), as well as the entire roster of maps in the game, including the newly added map, Containment!”

As an added bonus, any progress made during the PS Plus trial will carry over to the full game.

If you’re not a PS Plus member and fancy giving it a try, Sony is also offering some heavy discounts on subscriptions.

Available to lapsed members only, Sony has knocked £5 off the 3-month PlayStation Plus subscription, which is down from £20 to £15.

Elsewhere, a 12-month PS Plus subscription has been reduced from £50 to £37.50. That’s a saving of 25%.

The offer is only available until January 24, so you’d better hurry if you want to grab a bargain.

Anybody who takes advantage of the offer will be able to download the January 2019 PlayStation Plus free games.

Steep and Portal Knights headline the free PlayStation Plus games list for the month of January.

PS3 owners can download Zone of the Enders HD Collection and Amplitude, while Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion and Super Mutant Alien Assault are available on PlayStation Vita.

Due to cross-platform compatibility, Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion is also playable on PS4.
