Kominsky Method season two has officially been given the go-ahead by Netflix with filming rumoured to be taking place as early as next month. The Kominsky Method is an American comedy series starring Michael Douglas, Alan Arkin, Sarah Baker and Nancy Travis. The series, created by Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory director Chuck Lorre, has been a huge success ever since it first aired on Netflix in November 2018.

Yes, there will be another series of The Kominsky Method on Netflix.
Netflix announced the show had been renewed on Thursday, January 17.
The news was broke in the form of a behind-the-scenes video starring Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin as they discuss the show.
The video starts off with the pair having dinner and the words: “You didn’t think we were done yet, did you? The Kominsky Method will return for season 2” appear on the screen.
Alan then asks Michael about what he wants to take away from the show and what he hopes the audience will take away from the series.
Michael replies: “Comedy is much more difficult to do than drama. That’s the thing I like most about the show, you go from a funny moment, the way life is, to tragedy.”
Alan sarcastically adds: “[It’s] about two deranged, neurotic depressed old men whose lives are falling apart who have nothing to offer anymore and know it and are trying to survive, it’s hysterical, it’s absolutely hysterical.”
The new series will have eight half an hour episodes and will begin filming next month in Los Angeles.
All of the main cast is returning for the second season of The Kominsky Method.
This means Michael Douglas will be back as an actor and acting coach, Sandy Kominsky.
Joining him will be Alan Arkin as Sandy’s longtime agent and friend, Norman Newlander.
Sarah Baker will reprise her role as Mindy, Sandy’s daughter who helps run the acting studio and Nancy Travis will star as Lisa, one of Sandy’s students.
Recurring cast member includes Emily Osment as Theresa, Graham Rogers as Jude, Melissa Tang as Margaret, Susan Sullivan as Eileen, Lisa Edelstein as Phoebe, Danny DeVito as Dr Wexler and Ann-Margret as Diane.
Kominsky Method season two will also feature some guest actors in cameo roles.
Last season featured Patti LaBelle, Jason Kravits, Lauren Weedman and Corbin Bernsen.
An official release date has not yet been confirmed by Netflix but it could be as early as Winter 2019 if it follows the same release pattern as season one.
The show got a very quick renewal after only premiering on November, 16 on Netflix worldwide.
The Kominsky Method has gone onto achieve great success, winning numerous awards and several nominations, so it is hardly surprising the comedy series was given the green light for another season.
At the Golden Globes 2019 The Kominsky Method won Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Michael Douglas won Best Actor for his portrayal of Sandy.
Alan Arkin was nominated for best supporting actor for his role as Norman at The Golden Globe 2019.
The Kominsky Method has also been nominated for three awards at the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2019 with the results yet to be revealed.
The entire cast is up for the Outstanding Performance by Ensemble in a Comedy Series and Alan Arkin and Michael Douglas have both received nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy series.
