WhatsApp update fixes an annoying problem and adds this new improvement for users

WhatsApp boasts the largest amount of monthly users out of any third-party messaging application in the world, making it the most popular overall.

That means the client is used by more people than Facebook Messenger, WeChat, Skype and more, according to Statista.

WhatsApp is regularly updated by the firm, bringing new features and improvements on a consistent basis.

The latest of which brings Android devices up to speed with iPhone by introducing a call button within group chats.

Now, at the top of group chats a phone icon will be present that allows the user to instantly make a call with friends or family.

Once pressed, the app will present fans with a list of contacts and they can highlight which ones they would like to talk to.

The new toggle appears to be part of an effort from WhatsApp to make starting a group call easier and more accessible than before.

Moreover, group calls on WhatsApp were previously made by calling a single person and then adding others in once the call had begun.

The new feature allows users to start calls with multiple people at the same time, meaning this is no longer the case.

Such a function was already available on iPhone, but it has now arrived on Android as part of the latest version available through the Google Play Store.

Additionally, the Android update also fixes a bug that caused GIF functionality to stop working.

That means fans should now be able to send animations without a hiccup.

WhatsApp’s newest version for Android has already released, meaning you should already have it if you have automatic downloads enabled for the Play Store.

However, if the update has not been installed on your device, you should be able to get it by going to the store and manually checking for app updates.
