Dancing On Ice 2019: ‘I messed up’ James Jordan APOLOGISES as he makes error

Dancing On Ice continued this evening and James Jordan took to the ice once more.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional is used to pulling out perfect routines each week.

But on ice, James is a little shakier and that was shown this evening.

He almost pulled out a perfect routine to The Phantom of the Opera but there was one little stumble.

James instantly started to apologise on his mistake when he was reflecting on the routine with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

He said: “I messed up the ending.

“I just can’t control my nerves, this is killing me.”

James then turned to his partner, Alexandra Schauman, and apologised for messing up.

She wasn’t bothered and told him not to worry, before they turned to the judges to get some feedback.

It was largely positive, but it seemed Jason Gardiner wanted to see James push the routine a little more.

He told James: “This is a great piece, well executed, but for me I think you could have played more into him being obsessed with her

“I didn’t get enough of that, just too much nice stuff, but I think you missed the point.”

James laughed: “I was trying to stay on my feet!”

Despite his mistake, viewers still weren’t happy with James due to his professional dance experience.

One wrote: “Makes me cross. James has so much of an advantage over everyone else. He started with a great core, posture, frame, balance, able to do lifts, spin & spot without getting dizzy and the others are having to try & learn all that AND how to skate. He shouldn’t be on.”

Another added: “The judges will never give James a low score let’s be honest. They respect him as he’s a professional dancer.”

A third shared: “James is really good but then again he IS a professional dancer so that definitely helps.”

However, James got some tough competition from Wes Nelson who topped the leaderboard.

He bagged an impressive 29.5 for his routine, knocking James off his throne.

And judge Ashley Banjo said he thinks the cast should be “worried” after Wes’ brilliant performance.

Dancing On Ice continues Sunday on ITV at 6pm.
