Romelu Lukaku told he must accept he's a SUB at Man Utd by Andy Cole

Marcus Rashford started as the lone striker for Manchester United as they hosted Brighton today.

The 21-year-old has scored seven goals already for United – the same number he scored in the whole of last season – with four of them coming under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

There’s no doubt who the caretaker-boss prefers and Cole thinks Lukaku should get used to it.

“I believe he has to accept he’s sub when everyone is fit – unless Ole wants to change it and play two up front,” Cole said on BT Sport.

“Rashford’s form since Ole has taken over has been fantastic.

“He’s playing to his strengths, getting in behind, stretching teams and looking to score goals.

“If he keeps playing like that it will be very difficult for Lukaku to get in the team.”

Rashford had been struggling for form under Jose Mourinho but he has hit his straps under the Norwegian.

Cole, the third top scorer in Premier League history, says it’s all down to a renewed confidence.

“What Ole has done with Marcus is have belief in him,” Cole said.

“He’s given him the confidence. Marcus has been very good since Ole has taken over. He believes in himself even more so now.

“He’s getting the goals that some of his performances have warranted.

“He’s got all the ability in the world. Confidence is massive in football. You can see now that Marcus is getting that confidence.

“He’s playing well and doing what he did when he first got in the team.

“The goal against Tottenham was a super goal, the finish was fantastic.”
