Oti Mabuse: The Greatest Dancer judge and Strictly pro is unrecognisable in unearthed snap

Oti Mabuse, 28, took part in the #10yearchallenge sweeping Instagram, by uploading a decade-old photo of herself on her account yesterday.

In the throwback snap, The Greatest Dancer judge sported a short black bob and wore burgundy lipstick.

The Strictly Come Dancing professional looked glum in the picture, as she did not smile for the photograph.

She appeared to have worn an off-shoulder garment as her chest was bare and she donned a long gold chain.

Alongside the image, she wrote: “Wow I’m sooo glad things have changed #10yearchallenge.”(sic).

She added: “Not sure why I look like an angry 18-year convict with hazel eyes but that was my end of the year ball pic (matric dance).

“You’d think I’d look a lot happier than that! Thank goodness for growth.”

Besides the decade old photo was a snap of the star at the launch of her new talent show, The Greatest Dancer.

For the special event, she wore her raven tresses in a high ponytail to show off her sparkling drop earrings.

Also, she covered her feet with a pair of thigh high boots and wore a one-shoulder shirt over a metallic miniskirt.

Fans of the star were quick to point out she looked beautiful in both pictures, with one saying: “Gorgeous then and gorgeous now.”

Another person added: “You are really pretty in both photos,” while a third said: “[You] aged very well.”

A fourth fan gushed: “You look at least 10 years younger now – sure the pics are the right way round?”

Someone else commented: “Stunning now and then,” while a sixth person swooned: “You look younger now! Crazy! Such a babe.”

The South African native is currently appearing on The Greatest Dancer as a dance captain alongside Cheryl and Glee star Matthew Morrison.

Her co-star Cheryl, 35, was recently slammed by professional dancer Louie Spence, who is best known for the television show Pineapple Dance Studios.

The 49-year-old said he did not feel the Girls Aloud hitmaker was the “right person” for the job and said the show was “weak”.

Speaking to New magazine, he expressed: “I don’t think she’s the right person. Is she someone like Bruce Forsyth? No. I personally don’t think she’s a national treasure.

“Oti has a lot of personality and is bubbly and maybe Cheryl feels she needs to be more quiet because she’s not really an expert in dance.”

The Greatest Dancer continues tonight on BBC One at 8pm.
