Britain’s Got Talent 2019: Simon Cowell finds winner as Golden Buzzer pressed on day one?

Britain’s Got Talent 2019 is back and yesterday the live auditions kicked off in the hope of finding the next big act to perform at the Royal Variety Show later this year.

And it seems the first few performances were so good, Simon Cowell pressed his golden buzzer. Does this mean he has found the series’ winner?

It comes as Simon’s co-judge Alesha Dixon took to her Instagram Stories to discuss the “amazing” moment.

She said: “We have just had our first Golden Buzzer, and it was absolutely amazing.”

Viewers then saw Amanda Holden jump into shot and add: “Amazing!” Before Alesha continued with: “I didn’t press it,” and Amanda confirmed: “I didn’t press it.”

The camera then panned to her left where David Walliams usually sits and she explained: “The one that sits next to me that side didn’t press it.

”So I wonder who pressed it?” She teased before reiterating how “amazing” and ended the video with a squeal.

Therefore the only judge left to have possibly pressed the Golden Buzzer was Simon Cowell, unless it was Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly as they too have a Golden Buzzer ticket.

It comes after the iconic presenting duo are back hosting the show following Ant’s year off to concentrate on his health.

Ant appeared alongside Dec and the four judges for an official photo yesterday which marked the new series starting

As well as that, Dec addressed the audience yesterday and announced his co-stars’ highly anticipated comeback.

He said: “We’ve got the judges back, the golden buzzer is back, and someone else is back.

“My co-host for the series, would you please welcome… Mr Ant McPartlin.”

Ant then walked onto stage and was greeted by a standing ovation before embracing his presenting partner.

He told the audience: “Hello everyone. Oh god, I’m really really emotional now. I’ve missed you all.”

WHO WON BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT LAST YEAR?

He then pointed at Dec, saying: “I’ve missed you. Thank you very much, what a warm welcome.

Meanwhile, BGT fans won’t have to wait long until the auditions are aired on television.

Whilst no official start date has been confirmed by ITV, it is most likely to be Saturday April 13, based on previous years.

Following that, the grand final is set to take place in the beginning of June.

Britain’s Got Talent returns later this year to ITV.
