Dark Souls Trilogy news: How to buy AMAZING Collector's Edition on PS4, Xbox, PC

Fans of the Dark Souls series should praise the sun, because Bandai Namco has announced plans to bring the amazing Collector’s Edition to Europe.

The Dark Souls Trilogy Collector’s Edition has been given a May 31 release date on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

This incredible collection comes with all three games and DLC, plus soundtrack CDs, a 460-page compendium and an Elite Knight at the Bonfire statue.

Unfortunately, however, there is a catch. Two of them, in fact.

For starters, Bandai Namco is only releasing a limited number of units. This was confirmed in the original announcement tweet on Twitter.

“The most complete collection of Dark Souls games and lore ever created, available exclusively from the Bandai Namco online store,” reads a Bandai Namco tweet. “Pre-order now and don’t delay, this limited run of 2000 won’t last forever!”

With only 2,000 units available, fans will need to pre-order quick to guarantee getting a unit.

The other catch is the hefty price tag, which comes in at a whopping £449.

While the price tag is sure to put some fans off, the Dark Souls Trilogy Collector’s Edition looks like an impressive package.

For gamers unfamiliar with the Dark Souls games, Bandai Namco has posted a brief synopsis of each release.

DARK SOULS REMASTERED

“Then, there was fire. Re-experience the genre-defining game that started it all. Return to Lordran in the beautifully remastered game in high definition, 60 fps with single-player or online multiplayer with dedicated servers. Includes the Artorias of the Abyss DLC.”

DARK SOULS II: SCHOLAR OF THE FIRST SIN

“Prepare to Die again. The second installment of the series includes the base Dark Souls II plus all three DLCs: Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King.”

DARK SOULS III: THE FIRE FADES

“Now only embers remain… Dark Souls III is the final journey in the series where players can fight through intense combat solo or team up in co-op or PvP multiplayer. Includes the award-winning game and both DLC chapters: Ashes of Ariandel and The Ringed City.”
