Bird Box on Netflix SEQUEL with these TWO characters – Guess HOW they survived?

Almost 50 million people worldwide have seen Bird Nox of Netflix. The smash hit horror has terrified audiences so much that, naturally, the masochists want more. Director Susanne Bier has already talked about the possibility of a sequel. She also teased the fate of two popular characters who disappeared half-way through. Now one of the stars has revealed her own hopes for a spin-off and the outrageous way they survived – and it doesn’t involve blindness or madness this time.

Rosa Salazar plays Lucy, who made a break for freedom with the besotted Felix mid-way through the movie.

This isn’t just talk from a young actress cashing in on her moment of fame. Salazar is about to hit cinemas worldwide as the lead star in the big budget blockbuster Alita; Battle Angel, so she may well be very busy in the next few years.

However, she has firm hopes for a Lucy and Felix spin-off for Bird-Box with co-star Machine Gun Kelly.

Asked about their fate, Bier already teased: “[It’s] quite exciting that we don’t know exactly where they went.”

Salazar told the Los Angeles Times: “We’re always scheming on how we’re going to do it. We have this dream of doing a sequel where we survived, and leaving was the best thing you could possibly do.”

And how did Lucy and Felix survive? Their recreational habits are the crazy key.

Salazar added: “Alcohol makes you temporarily insane; drugs make you temporarily insane. What if the whole movie these two were on acid, or mushrooms, and [survive] because they’ve altered their state of mind?”

Netflix has never been afraid of pushing boundaries and mixing in Lucy and Felix’s own personal demons with the monsters at large sounds like a great idea.

Salazar sums up her pitch: “Then you have this story that’s ‘True Romance’ meets ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,’ only it’s ‘Fear and Loathing in Bird Box,’ and because they are so resourceful, this punk rock combo in love, they manage to make a life and survive.”
