Spider-Man Far From Home Trailer: Here are three MASSIVE easter eggs you may have missed

Marvel has released the trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next outing from the friendly neighbourhood wall-crawler. Following a similar theme to the last film, fans will see Peter Parker in school, as his class prepares to go on a tour of Europe. Marvel Studios has revealed little in the new teaser, as this is the first footage following upcoming events in Avengers: Endgame. What they have revealed, however, are a selection of easter eggs only comic fanatics may have discovered.

Easter egg one: Peter Parker’s birthday

As a core part of travelling to Europe, Peter Parker naturally had to pick up a valid passport.

In the trailer, when we reach the 37 second mark, Peter’s birthday is revealed via the new (and slightly unflattering) passport handed over to him.

This date is August 10, a significant date in Spider-Man history.

August 10, 1962 marks when Spider-Man made his first debut in the 15th issue of Amazing Fantasy, at the hands of now deceased creators Steve Ditko and Stan Lee.

Easter egg two: Uncle Ben’s suitcase

Uncle Ben has been seldom mentioned in the newest iteration of Spider-Man, as Spider-Man: Homecoming was not an origin story.

In the Far From Home trailer, when Peter is packing his case 45 seconds in, as he closes it we can see the initials BFP marked on the front.

Chances are BFP is Ben Parker and the case is a hand-me-down from Uncle Ben.

Easter egg three: Hydro Man

This easter egg might be the easiest to miss and is a very revealing addition to the trailer.

Around 50 seconds into the trailer, supporting character and best friend to Peter, Ned Leeds – played by Jacob Batalon – is taking a picture in front of a boat.

The boat is marked ‘ASM 212’, which is actually a comic reference, according to one keen-eyed reddit user.

User u/YungWhale identified the comic – Amazing Spider-Man 212 – is the first appearance of a character already teased in the trailer.

This particular issue marks the first time we see Hydro Man, who can be seen in the Far From Home teaser as a human-shaped body of water.

However, people are still left in the dark about the part played by Hydro Man and his other teased elemental counterparts.

The most we see of the villain is the last part of the trailer, when he is being tackled by a seemingly magic wielding Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal.
