Natasha Richardson died age 45 in March 2009 after suffering a head injury from falling in a ski accident.
Almost 10 years on, her mum, Vanessa Redgrave, said “time does not heal” the pain of losing her daughter.
The British actress told People: “Time does not heal; that would seem to me to say that suddenly it’s okay, and it’s not.”
She added: “It never becomes OK.”
Vanessa’s youngest daughter, Joely Richardson, also opened up about the family loss.
The 54-year-old said: “You are different. You aren’t stronger or weaker. Just different, changed.”
She added: “What we have done well as a family is that in honouring and supporting one another, we reformed to become a strong, loving unit.”
