Kym Marsh: Coronation Street star shares FIRST photo of grandchild after revealing gender

Kym Marsh, 42, was every bit the doting grandmother when she swooned over her unborn grandchild, admitting she was excited to meet her daughter’s first child.

Taking to Instagram, the Coronation Street actress shared a pregnancy scan photo of her grandson on her account.

In the adorable black and white picture, the baby can be seen laying in his mother’s womb with his arms slightly raised.

Captioning the sweet image, Kym penned: “I can’t wait to meet you my beautiful grandson! I just want to cuddle @emilieecunliffe and @mikeyhoz.”

Also, her 21-year-old daughter Emilie shared the snap on Instagram alongside a very similar caption to her mother’s.

“I cannot wait to meet you, my beautiful boy,” she said.

The mum-to-be was flooded with messages from well-wishers, with one writing: “Congratulations. Hope everything goes well.”

Another person added: “Beautiful photo… congratulations,” while a third said: “Aww congrats on having a boy. Boys are great and mummies boys.”

Someone else asked: “Any names you have in mind Emilie?” As a fifth commentator shared: “Baby boy is going to be gorgeous just like mummy.”

Emilie recently admitted she is nervous about being a young mum, but said she is ready for parenthood.

“I’m apprehensive, but I think all mums-to-be feel like that,” she told OK! Magazine. “I know I’m young.”

“But I’m also very mature for my age and do feel ready to be a parent,” the beautician added.

“A lot of people don’t do things conventionally nowadays, so I’m not worried that this has happened.”

She continued: “I believe everything happens for a reason and this is obviously just the way my life is supposed to be.”

Kym, who was 18 when she had her son David, now 23, said she understands what Emilie is going through as a pregnant young woman.

The actress offered: “I know what it’s like to be young and pregnant, it’s scary but I also know Emilie is going to be a great mum.

“Being a young mum seems to be a pattern in my family. My mum was 18 when she had my brother, my sister was 18 when she fell pregnant and so was I.”

Last year, the soap star announced the gender of her grandchild after hosting a gender reveal party for her daughter on December 8.

Uploading a picture of her daughter hugging her partner on Twitter, she captioned the touching image: “IT’S A BOY!!!”

Emilie and her boyfriend had let off a cannon filled with blue confetti to reveal the baby’s gender to family and friends.
