Ivanka Trump's husband made HUGE MISTAKE in advice given to US President on Mueller probe

An excerpt from the book of Trump’s ousted White House transition team chairman, Chris Christie’s, makes the allegation. According to Mr Christie’s Let Me Finish book, which was obtained by The Guardian, Mr Kushner believed firing Comey would not cause “an enormous sh*t-storm”, while removing Flynn would end links between Trump and Russia during the 2016 campaign. In the book, which is due to be published on January 29, Mr Christie states Mr Kushner, who serves as a senior White House adviser, provided two pieces of seriously ill-judged advice.

As Mr Christie wrote in his book: “Again, the President was ill served by poor advice.”

In February 2017, Trump fired Flynn after he misled Vice President Mike Pence and Chief of Staff Reince Preibus over his talks with a Russian ambassador.

The President then followed that up by removing Mr Comey in May of that year to try and end the FBI investigation into Trump’s reported collusion with Russia.

The probe into Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential campaign is currently being led by Special Counsel for the United States Department of Justice, Robert Mueller who has reportedly interviewed Mr Kushner.

In his book, Mr Christie revealed the meeting between himself, Mr Kushner, Trump Jr and campaign manager Paul Manafort and a Russian delegation offering intelligence on Hilary Clinton was “dumb” and a “sign of profound inexperience”.

Mr Christie does, however, point the blame for his sacking from Trump’s team to Mr Kushner.

Mr Christie served as a US attorney in new Jersey in the early 2000s and prosecuted Mr Kushner’s father, Charles.

Mr Charles served two years in federal prison for tax evasion, illegal donations and witness tampering and.

According to the former Trump transition team chief, he forced Trump’s former campaign chief, Steve Bannon to tell him who was behind his sacking.

Mr Christie wrote in his book: “Steve Bannon made it clear to me that one person and one person only was responsible for the faceless execution that Steve was now attempting to carry out.

“Jared Kushner, still apparently seething over events that had occurred a decade ago.

“The kid’s been taking an axe to your head with the boss ever since I got here.”
