FIFA 19 Future Stars COUNTDOWN: FUT predictions ahead of Ultimate Team reveal

Predictions are already being made over which players will be announced as part of the FIFA 19 Future Stars today.

Having recently revealed the choice for Team of the Year, EA Sports are putting together a new list of names for FUT.

Players who are considered top prospects and fall into a certain category are getting new impressive FUT cards on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch.

This includes being 23 years of age or younger, not yet considered an established star and have the potential future ratings to warrant the upgrade.

The players selected will see new cards released in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team that show their potential ratings for the future.

And so far we only know of a few who have made the cut, with a total of three currently part of the official list.

This includes Phil Foden, Matthijs de Ligt and Vinicius Jr. which have all seen special cards revealed.

Manchester City’s Phil Foden plays in a CAM position and boasts an 88 rating.

He’s probably one of the best known on the current list, due to him plying his trade in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s left-winger Vinicus Junior received a 92 overall rating, alongside Ajax’s Matthijs De Ligt, a Centre Back with a 92 overall rating.

De Ligt could be another familiar name for some fans, due to him winning the Golden Boy Award in 2018.

It’s an award that’s given to a young player who has been voted the most impressive during a calendar year.

Other famous names to have been handed the Golden Boy includes Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi, Cesc Fàbregas and Sergio Agüero.

Foden, de Ligt and Vinicius Jr. are the first trio of FIFA 19 Future Stars FUT cards to be revealed by EA Sports, and they won’t be the last.

That’s because the development team are set to announce another batch today, followed by a full reveal of all the future star players and ratings on Friday.

As today’s FUT reveal was made around 1pm, GMT, it stands to reason we should find out more on the rest at around the same time today and Friday.

EA Sports posted the cards on the official FIFA Twitter page, adding: “@philfoden of @ManCity, @vini11Oficial of @realmadriden and Matthijs de Ligt of @AFCAjax are FUT Future Stars!”

“More players revealed tomorrow and full ratings on Friday!”

So what other FIFA 19 players could be added to the special list later today?

There are so many candidates to choose from it’s pretty hard to narrow down a correct prediction.

Top picks included Borussia Dortmund and England starlet Jadon Sancho, PSV’s Hirving Lozano, Everton’s Ademola Lookman and Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi.

Fiorentina keeper Alban Lafont is another selection being made before the big reveal later today.

But we can’t be sure just how many new FUT cards are being added to the game.

And until we do, it makes Future Stars predictions pretty hard to work out.
