The Chase: Bradley Walsh issues warning to Anne Hegerty 'In front of the kids?’

Bradley Walsh, 58, welcomed The Chase contestant Jack to the game when the exchange arose between him and The Governess Anne, 60.

Jack had damaged to accumulate £4,000 during his cash builder round and had to face The Chaser to make it back for the final chase.

However, as Jack came face-to-face with Anne, he was left in the middle of the dispute between The Governess and the ITV host as they spoke about chicken.

The 24-year-old contestant had revealed to Bradley during his introduction he wanted to spend his share of the jackpot prize on a luxury hen house for his battery chickens.

Jack’s admission caused Anne to make a remark about his pets, telling him as she took her seat at the top of the table: “You want somewhere to put your chickens?

“Well there’s only one place a chicken should be and that’s in a crispy crumb coating,” Anne continued, with the studio audience laughing at the remark.

However, Bradley was less than pleased as he shook his head at Anne, leading her to ask: “You don’t like chicken?”

Revealing he understood her sentiment, Bradley told Anne: “But teatime in front of the kids,” seemingly concerned by what the audience at home would think.

“That’s what they’re having for tea,” Anne replied to which Bradley hit back, “They’ll be having fish fingers and petit pois.”

Still thinking about chicken however, Anne replied: “I’m pretty sure they are chicken fingers,” but Bradley corrected her, exclaiming: “Chicken haven’t got fingers, they’ve got feet.”

Correcting him on his previous statement, Anne said: “Brad, I hate to break it to you, but fish don’t have fingers.”

After Bradley and Anne ended their light-hearted spat, Jack decided to remain with the cash he had accumulated in his cash builder round.

Anne said: “This is a dull team,” as no one decided to risk their place in the final chase and take her higher offers.

It seemed Jack made the right decision as he made it back to the players panel to take art in the final chase.

Before Jack faced The Chaser, 54-year-old Ken was the first contestant to add to the jackpot as he fought off Anne to bring back £6,000.
