ORIGINAL: Fortnite developer Epic Games has released early patch notes for update 7.20.

Update 7.20 is expected to be released on the morning of Tuesday, January 15.

Fans can also expect some downtime to accompany the numbered update, which is expected to be a big one.

One thing we can be sure of is that Fortnite update 7.20 will introduce the Scoped Revolver weapon.

While the stats are yet to be revealed, the Scoped Revolver is a six-shot pistol that can be used at range.

“Six-shot pistol packs a punch and provides perfect accuracy at range,” reads the in-game teaser.

Needless to say, the upcoming update will also make some pretty major gameplay fixes, while Save the World will be given away for free to select Xbox One owners.

In the build up to the release of the update, Epic Games has also revealed plans to fix an irritating building problem.

Epic’s Sean Hamilton reveals more: “Ever had problems where you create a wall but it’s mostly underground and just too darn short?

“Well, do we have news for you! Starting in v7.20, get 2 walls for the price of 1 if the wall you’re going to build is more than 70% underground.”

Epic goes into greater detail on Reddit, telling fans that the new feature will kick in under two different circumstances.

This includes when a wall requires a connection to a building piece, or when the connecting piece is at least 70% underground.

Zipline bug fixes will be released, alongside a fix for glider deploy issues with planes.

As for free Save the World codes, Epic Games made the decision to give the co-op game away following confusion with the Xbox One S Fortnite bundle.

According to the packaging, the Xbox One S Eon bundle comes with an exclusive item set, 2,000 V-bucks for the in-game shop and “a full game download of Fortnite”.

However, as fans on Reddit have pointed out, the “full game download” was limited to Battle Royale only.

Admitting that the advertising was poorly worded, Epic will be giving Save the World and V-bucks away for free, but only if you purchased the Xbox One S bundle in question.

Anybody who qualifies for the rewards will receive download instructions following the release of the update.
