Emmerdale spoilers: Paddy Kirk for EXPLOSIVE clash with his 'father' as secret exposed?

Paddy (played by Dominic Brunt) was rocked in recent episodes of Emmerdale as the vet discovered the man who raised him may not be his birth father.

The news was first revealed when Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) made her comeback to the ITV soap, but told her cousins Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) Paddy’s other may be a wrestler called Beat Wolf, a piece of information the pair have failed to tell him.

However, upcoming scenes will see the secret revealed to Paddy as Chas and Marlon try to convince the shell shocked villager to a trip to Belfast to try and find his “father”.

The plan will work as Paddy and a few other villagers head off to Northern Ireland to attend the wrestling convention where Bear Wolf will be in attendance.

Still reeling from the news, Paddy will surely have more than a few words for Bear who will be played by actor Joshua Richards.

Speaking of the casting, producer Kate Brooks commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have an actor of Joshua’s calibre join our show.

“An actor of immense talent and charisma, he’s a brilliant addition to the Emmerdale team.

“It proves quite the adventure when Paddy and Marlon track Bear down in Belfast as Paddy’s life is turned upside down by boisterous Bear,” the producer added.

Could one of Bear’s fist storylines seem hit pitted in the ring with the long-lost son who needs more than a few questions answered?

Commenting on his arrival on the ITV soap, with his first scenes airing in mid-February, Joshua added: “I am delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale.

“Having been based in Yorkshire for most of my life, it’s fantastic to now be filming there too,” referring to the scenes which will be filmed in Northern Ireland over the coming weeks.

He continued: “Bear Wolf is a great character and I am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for him.”

Whatever happens between the two, Bear could follow Paddy back to the village to try and build a father-son relationship with the vet.

However, Bear won’t be only character the villagers come across during their trip to Ireland as a familiar face will be making an appearance.

Speaking about the villagers adventures, producer Laura Shaw teased: “What we can reveal is that maybe they’re going to bump into somebody who was in our village quite a while ago who’ve we’ve not seen for a while and maybe that person is going to be coming back to the village…”
