Mauricio Pochettino tells Sky Sports what he REALLY thinks about Tottenham and Man Utd job

Mauricio Pochettino has been earmarked as Manchester United’s top choice to replace Jose Mourinho at the end of the season.

For now, the Red Devils are flying under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, winning their first five games under the Norwegian against Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Reading.

But, despite that, Pochettino remains Manchester United’s top managerial target.

Plenty has been written about the Argentine potentially leaving Tottenham and heading to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.

But Pochettino has insisted he is happy at Tottenham despite appearing to aim at dig over their lack of spending earlier this week.

“I know very well that my name, like many other names, are in the media,” he told Sky Sports.

“But of course that is not the thing that worries me or is in my mind.

“That is a business for Manchester United.

“I am so happy here at Tottenham.”

Interestingly, though, Pochettino refused to rule out moving to United.

He admitted that, in football, things can change.

And that could yet add fuel to the flames regarding his future beyond the end of the season.

“In the future, you cannot talk too much in football,” he added.

“I do not know what will happen tomorrow.

“I am open to adapting myself, because it is so important to be happy and to feel that you are important inside in a project that you need to give your best.

“Of course, at the moment, I am so happy here at Tottenham.

“But what happens tomorrow we will see.”
