Premier League transfer news: Deals that could be announced imminently – Chelsea busy

Premier League transfer talk is beginning to heat up as advanced negotiations take place around the top flight during the January window.

Chelsea are likely to be the busiest club this month with a host of stars expected to leave and fresh faces tipped to arrive.

Manchester United are conducting a reshuffle of their loan deals while Barcelona are edging closer to splashing the cash on a Premier League star.

Express Sport rounds up some of the biggest deals that could go through in the early stages of the January transfer window.

Willian (Chelsea to Barcelona)

Chelsea have rejected a cash plus player deal worth around £50million from Barcelona according to the Telegraph.

The Blues were offered Brazilian hot-shot Malcom but have reportedly turned down the offer.

However, Willian hasn’t impressed in 2018/19 so far and with Christian Pulisic on the way this summer, don’t be surprised to see Chelsea accept an offer imminently.

Joel Pereira (Manchester United to Reading)

United recalled their young goalkeeper from a spell with Vitoria at the start of the month.

He will now be shifted straight back out of the club again, this time with Championship strugglers Reading according to the Daily Mail.

Pereira will link up with United cult hero John O’Shea who signed for the Royals last summer.

Michy Batshuayi (Chelsea to Everton)

Another star to be recalled from a loan deal this month is Batshuayi.

He set the Bundesliga alight with Dortmund last season after scoring seven goals in 10 league games but has flopped with Valencia in La Liga this time around.

Sky Sports believe Everton are interested in a permanent deal for the striker but if they don’t act quickly, he is likely to be farmed out to the continent on loan once again.

Victor Moses (Chelsea to Fulham)

Moses was shown around the Cottagers training ground in a bid to persuade him to make a move to Fulham according to Love Sport Radio.

The Chelsea ace enjoyed a terrifc spell as wing-back under Antonio Conte last season but that position has been made redundant by Maurizio Sarri’s flat back four.

The Blues appear to be the most active club in the Premier League during this window and will be keen to shift out fringe players as soon as possible.

Manolo Gabbiadini (Southampton to Sampdoria)

The Italian striker is heading home.

Gabbiadini enjoyed two seasons with Sampdoria before moving to Napoli then Southampton, and he is now on the brink of a return.

The Saints have accepted a £12m bid for the underwhelming front man who has scored just 12 goals in all competitions for Southampton in two years.

He could be confirmed as a Sampdoria striker today.
