Will Summer Ever Get Here?

After the long winter we have experienced this year, it may not seem like summer will ever arrive, but it definitely will get here and, when it does finally arrive, I'll be ready for it, and for my boyfriend's birthday, this July .

Being the owner of an online gift store, I search for new products on a daily basis. A few weeks ago, in my searches, I found the best present for my boyfriend. Because I know it will be a great gift for him, I can surmise that it will be a great gift for any man in your life that loves his BBQ (and what man does not?).

From years of experience, I have discovered that there are many different styles of Grillin 'men out there but, overall, they generally fall into one of two camps, when it comes to cleaning the grill.

1. The "Oscar". These are the guys who never get around to cleaning their BBQ and over the summer, it becomes a grungy mess. Only the Oscar is brave enough to cook on his own grill.

2. The "Felix". These are the fanatics who clean their BBQ immediately, while the grill is still hot. The Felix may sound like the perfect kind of guy but, take it from the girlfriend of a Felix, it has its downfalls. In order for him to achieve this result, he's leaving everyone at the table waiting for his return, while the food is getting cold.

Whichever type of Grill Cleaner your guy is, the best answer to either problem is to get someone to clean the grill for him. I know I'm not going to be that someone so, if there's an automatic grill cleaning robot that can do it for me, I'm going to give it a try.

The Grillbot is an automatic grill cleaning robot that claims to take the grunt work out of cleaning the grill, by placing it on your pre-heated grill, turning it on, closing the BBQ cover, and walking away for a specified period of time. It was designed and developed by Ethan Woods, a former real estate professional from New York, who was inspired by a makeshift cleaner that he built from a power drill and a wire brush.

So is it too good to be true?

Pros:

Delivers as promised – The Grillbot is durable and cleans all grill shapes and sizes

Simple – It's easy to use but the company also has a lot of guides and video how-to's, just in case.

Cons:

Price: Priced at over $ 100, it may be considered a seasonal purchase that is not worth the cost.

Stainless Steel Brushes are not included – Only the Brass brushes come included with the grillbot. If you have cast iron or expanded steel grill cleaning surfaces, you need to order the Stainless Steel Brushes extra.
