If you own a smartphone on contract it’s worth checking when the deal ends.
Many of us forget to check when our initial 24-month smartphone contracts have expired and it could be costing you more than you need to pay.
When you take out a new deal a large chunk of the monthly fee goes towards paying for the phone that comes bundled with the contract.
But once the two-years is up, the device then belongs to you meaning you can switch to a much lower SIM-only price plan.
There’s plenty of deals available right now with some prices cut and the offer of extra data each month.

THREE DEALS
If you want to binge on Netflix when away from Wi-Fi then there’s a very good deal from Three.
The mobile network is currently offering a whopping 100GB of data per month for just £20.
If you don’t think that’s enough to keep you entertained there’s also the ability to get unlimited data for £27 per month.

Both of these deals include unlimited calls and texts plus there’s access to Three’s free roaming in 71 countries and its Go Binge service which allows you to stream from some apps without it eating into your monthly data.
It’s worth noting that you’ll need to take out a 12-month contract so make sure you are happy to keep your old phone for that long before signing up.
VODAFONE DEALS
Vodafone currently has its big winter sale available until February 4th and there’s plenty of deals on SIM-only plans.
For £30 per month, you can get 50GB of data with this SIM even including 12-months of Sky Sports, Spotify, Now TV or Prime Video.

EE DEALS
EE has a couple of decent offers with the 4G network giving customers 25GB of data for £20 per month or 60GB for £30.
Both of these 12-month deals include unlimited calls/texts plus there’s six months of Apple Music thrown in for free.

O2 DEALS
O2 currently has some good offers for Netflix fans.
The network is offering a six-month free subscription to the streaming service with select plans.
These include 20GB of data for £20 per month and 50GB of data for £30 per month.

O2’s cheapest plans start from £10 per month which includes 1GB of data plus 1000 minutes and unlimited texts.
All of the deals require customers to sign up to a 12-month contract.
SKY MOBILE AND VIRGIN MOBILE DEALS
It’s worth remembering that Sky and Virgin both offer good SIM-only plans.
Virgin Mobile currently has a sale with the firm offering 6GB of monthly data for £9 or 2GB for £7 per month.
There’s also the offer of 30GB for just £16 per month.
If it’s Sky you want to use then there’s also good news with the satellite TV company offering 2GB of monthly data for £6.
