David Beckham pictured on the set of Peaky Blinders as season five filming starts

David Beckham was given a special tour of the Peaky Blinders set yesterday by the creator of the popular BBC show Steve Knight.

The 43-year-old former footballer posted a series of snaps social media documenting his trip.

Sharing the pictures with his 53.3 million Instagram followers, David can be seen with the English creator as well as posing in front of portraits of the notorious Shelby family.

David snapped a selfie in front of paintings of Birmingham gangsters Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy and Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby.

David’s visit to the set comes as the cast of the BBC show return to film season five following a break for Christmas.

Irish actor Cillian, 42, who plays the leader of the Peaky Blinders, was seen shooting scenes in Stockport along with Charlie Murphy, 29, who plays his lover Jessie Eden.

The popular television series will return to our TV screens sometime in 2019, but will move from it’s usual home of BBC Two to BBC One.

It will most likely air in the Autumn.
