Stacey Dooley: Strictly Come Dancing star reveals new job after Glitterball trophy win

The 31-year-old Strictly Come Dancing champion is famous for her documentaries, which include hard-hitting investigations into everything from sex trafficking to child labour and homelessness. She was awarded an MBE for her services to broadcasting last year. Now, Stacey Dooley has been unveiled as Grazia Magazine’s new Contributing Editor. The publication announced the filmmaker will publish “a series of investigations in the magazine throughout 2019”.

“I’m delighted to work alongside the Grazia team this year,” Stacey gushed

“Their dedication towards exploring stories, both at home and much further afield really appeals to me.

“I can’t wait to get going!”

Editor Hattie Brett said: “I’m thrilled Stacey is joining team Grazia.

“Her unquestionable nose for a story, coupled with her warm no-nonsense reporting style will highlight important issues to our readers in a unique way,” she added.

Stacey shared the news with her 599,000 followers on Instagram and was soon inundated with congratulations from fans.

“Well deserved, congratulations,” one wrote, while another commented: “Excellent to hear this!

“Keep banging the drum about sustainability in fashions! It’s your mission!”

“Yes fantastic news,” a third chipped in, as a fourth added: “You’re there best role model for young women and girls! Clever, fearless and stylish.”

Meanwhile, Stacey is currently preparing to head off on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour.

With her professional partner Kevin Clifton, 36, committed to starring in the Rock of Ages tour, she will be dancing instead with his fellow Strictly pro Aljaz Skorjanec, 28.

Earlier this week, she uploaded a cheeky clip which showed her posing for a photoshoot with her new partner.

“Now long… See you on tour yea?”(sic) she captioned the post.

Kevin appeared to be sad he was missing out on the chance to take to dance floors across the UK with his former celebrity partner, taking to the comments to share a series of crying emojis.

She previously revealed she would “miss” Kevin on tour, saying: “I will miss Kev, but I am looking forward to putting Aljaz through his paces.

“To be able to go on tour and perform for the fans all over the UK is such an honour. I’m so excited!” she added.
