Official SACKED after Melania Trump ROW could be given another job in Trump administration

Mira Ricardel lost her job as deputy national security advisor in November. It came shortly after very public criticism from the First Lady. Melania is believed to have clashed with Ms Ricardel over plane seating arrangements for a trip.

Ms Ricardel now being considered for another high level government job, this time at the Pentagon, according to Fox News.

On November 13 last year, Melania’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, released an extraordinary statement expressing no confidence in Ms Ricardel.

It read: “It is the position of the office of the First Lady that Ms Ricardel no longer deserves the honour of serving in the White House.”

Ms Ricardel reportedly rowed with Melania’s staff ahead of the First Lady’s Africa tour in October last year.

Specifically it is believed seating arrangements for the First Lady’s plane became highly contentious.

The First Lady’s office also suspected Ms Ricardel was briefing against Melania to the press.

Ms Ricardel was appointed as deputy national security advisor in May.

She also clashed with former Secretary of Defence James Mattis and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, both of whom have since left the administration.

However, Ms Ricardel maintained a close relationship with National Security Advisor John Bolton, a hardliner pushing an aggressive stance towards Iran.

Melania’s office released their statement when Mr Bolton was in Asia with Vice President Mike Pence, making it harder for him to defend her.

One source told Fox News this was done deliberately as a strategic calculation.

During her October Africa tour, which covered Ghana, Kenya, Mali and Egypt, Melania admitted there are people working in the White House she doesn’t trust.

She didn’t say who she thinks they are, but said her presidential husband was aware.
