David Beckham: Ex-football ace reveals new grey look

And the former England footballer looks set to give silver fox heartthrobs such as George Clooney and Pierce Brosnan a run for their money. Becks sported his salt’n’pepper look as he arrived, appropriately, at a dinner party to celebrate the end of London Fashion Week Men’s on Monday. He looked dapper as he held hands with wife Victoria, 44, who styled her hair in a high bun and wore a blue shirt and flared trousers.

The soccer legend’s new barnet follows recent speculation that the 43-year-old had undergone a hair transplant. But Beckham has insisted he would never go under the knife to improve his hair, saying: “If I do start showing signs of going bald, then I will shave it off.”

Beckham co-hosted the dinner at the Brasserie Of Light restaurant in Selfridges in his role as ambassadorial president of the British Fashion Council (BFC).

He told the audience: “I think this is the first time I’ve addressed a London crowd with my BFC hat on.

“Obviously my wife’s part of this industry so I’m very proud and very privileged to be flying the flag.”

Victoria’s fashion empire has been struggling and posted a staggering £10.2million loss for 2017.

The former Spice Girl’s high-end clothing line – launched in 2008 – reported an £8.4million loss for 2016, up 78 per cent from 2015’s £4.7million loss.

Last week menswear label Kent & Curwen, of which Beckham is a majority owner, unveiled a new line inspired by hit BBC drama Peaky Blinders. Becks said he was “a big fan of the show” and revealed that the flat cap – a key piece in the collection – had a family connection.

He said: “I got that from my grandad. I wore his from a very young age.”
