Emilia Clarke: ‘Who are you?’ Game Of Thrones star spills on awkward Jason Momoa meeting

Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, 32, giggled as she reflected on the first time she met Jason Momoa, 39, who previously played Khal Drogo in the hit series. Spilling all on Rolling Stone’s Youtube channel, she said: “The first time I met Jason Momoa was in a hotel lobby in Belfast. “I walk in and I’m like exhausted and I had my bags and I’m really tired and it was really late at night and I walked in and from the other side of this enormous lobby I hear, ‘Wifey!’ And this huge Hawaiian man comes pounding over to me and picks me up and gets me in a genuine rugby tackle to the floor.

“It was only when he picked me back up and dusted me off, I was like, ‘Who are you?’”

This year, Game Of Thrones will be returning for its eighth and final series.

Last year, Jason confirmed he will not be returning to the show after months of speculation.

He told Digital Spy: “Yeah… he’s not coming back. Nine years now, let him go.”

He added: “It’d be a very short series [with Drogo alive].

“Two seasons, he crosses the water and kills everyone. It’s no good if he comes back.”

Back in September, Emilia spoke out on filming for the show’s final scenes.

The actress admitted there were tears on set as she reflected on the “heartbreaking experience”.

Speaking at the Emmy Awards last year, Emilia spilled: “It’s been a real bittersweet, heartbreaking experience leaving the show.

“I’m very excited for the next chapter but for now it’s going to be an excuse for us all to get together and party.”

Emilia was then asked whether she will take anything from the set, to which she joked she will take her co-stars as well as the throne.

She said: “The throne, obviously! It’s in the car ready to go, no one will miss it.”

The actress also revealed “intense filming” on set prompts her to watch “gentler” television shows away from the the show.

She told BBC radio: “A lot of the time you’re filming such intense stuff and you’re literally like, I can’t get involved in a really beautiful movie or in a really great TV series that’s going to haunt my dreams.

“So, Grand Designs — ain’t nothing wrong with it! MasterChef — hello! Lovely.”

Game Of Thrones season eight will return in April on HBO.
