Mark Little: Dancing On Ice star 'getting really angry' in training with Brianne Delcourt

Mark Little, who is best known for playing Joe Mangel in Neighbours, is paired up with Dancing On Ice stalwart Brianne Delcourt, 37, on the ITV skating show. The 59-year-old actor appears to have been struggling to get to grips with the the ice as a new behind-the-scenes clip shows him grappling with the technique in rehearsals. “You might notice, when I actually take a tumble it’s when I actually attack the ice,” Mark told Brianne in a video shared with Dancing On Ice’s 255,000 Twitter followers. “So I’m losing my fear of it,” he continued. “And the falling is like — oh well.

“I thought rodeo was the tough sport. No, no,” he added. “They’ve got nothing on ice dancers.”

The shot then cut to a wobbly-looking Mark on the ice as Brianne insisted: “I need you to be aggressive. I need to you to start getting angry.”

“You keep saying that,” he replied. “I am getting a little angry!

“I am angry, this is really making me angry!” he quipped, sounding as though he was trying to talk himself into it.

Taking a deep breath, he let it out, saying: “Phew, into the ice.”

Another clip saw Mark taking a dramatic tumble before shouting cheerfully: “Attack! Attack it!

“I’m fine,” he insisted. “I’m just attacking the ice and I’ve got to stop being afraid of it.”

Fans took to the comments section to share their support for Mark, with one writing: “Keep at it, Mark!”

“Oh Mark! You are ace! Wishing you all the luck in the world for your icy adventures,” another said.

Meanwhile, a third chipped in: “Brilliant Mark, good luck.”

Mark is one of six contestants who will be taking to the ice for the first time when Dancing On Ice 2019 kicks off tonight, with the remaining stars competiting next weekend.

He previously revealed his greatest fear heading into the show, saying frankly: “My biggest fear, honestly, is the safety of my partner.

“I’m not fearful of it but I’m concerned that I look after my skate partner and don’t hurt them.

“I might have to lift but the women have to be lifted and I think being lifted is scarier than lifting,” he continued, adding: “Saying that, I won’t be lifting until I’m totally sure I won’t drop alone!”

Mark admitted he’s highly competitive, saying: “I think it’s my Australian DNA.

“I won’t be a bad loser, I’m not a sore loser, but it’s a competition and I want to see how far we can get.”

Dancing On Ice starts tonight at 6pm on ITV.
