Ever since Cyberpunk 2077’s E3 gameplay demo, fans have been crying out for solid release date information from CD Projekt Red.
The studio remains tight-lipped on its launch plans, telling Twitter followers that Cyberpunk 2077 is “coming when it’s ready”.
But the good news is that according to Polish analyst company Vestor Dom Maklerski, the game could launch sooner than expected.
The company believes that Cyberpunk 2077 will launch in Q4 2019. And as GameReactor points out, this particular financial period runs until March 2020.
While it’s still a long time to wait, it’s good news for fans expecting Cyberpunk 2077 to be delayed to the PS5 era.
The only bad news is that the Cyberpunk 2077 developer has ruled out a possible demo for PS4 or Xbox One.
Asked about the possibility of a pre-release gameplay demo on Twitter, CD Projekt Red said: “We have no such plans.”
For the time being, at least, the studio also ruled out external alpha/beta tests.
It was previously revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 is playable from start to finish.
CD Projekt Red still needs to implement bug fixes and more assets are required, but the ability to play through the entire campaign means that the developer is on track to launch the game sooner rather than later.
And by the sounds of things, the developer has started to think of new features to add to the game.
One fan asked the studio if Cyberpunk 2077 would have a photo mode.
The studio responded by saying that it plans to have one, which judging by the gameplay demo, is a very good idea.
CD Projekt Red has also partnered with Canadian studio Digital Scapes for Cyberpunk 2077.
The studio was founded by developers from BioWare, Radical Entertainment and Relic, and prides itself on triple-A multiplayer experiences, development tool creation, asset production and cloud computing.
“The Canadian partner studio will closely cooperate with CD Projekt Red on creating and optimising technological solutions for use in the development of Cyberpunk 2077,” reads a recently released statement.
This should hopefully speed up the development time, so expect to see more from Cyberpunk 2077 in the near future.
