Man Utd news: Owen Hargreaves notices big change at stadium after Jose Mourinho exit

That is according to former Manchester United Champions League winner and BT Sport pundit Owen Hargreaves.

Solskjaer was appointed replacement to Jose Mourinho in December after the Portuguese was sacked following a poor start to the season on and off the pitch.

The Norwegian’s contract is only until the end of the campaign as United search for a permanent successor to Mourinho.

However, Solskjaer has won his first four Premier League games in charge to reignite the Red Devils’ season.

Hargreaves, who was speaking ahead of Manchester United‘s FA Cup third round tie at home to Reading on Saturday, has been impressed with the style of football Solskjaer has played.

And he has noticed an improvement in mood of all the staff at Old Trafford.

“[It’s] completely different,” Hargreaves said.

“Even when you come in to the stadium, into the car park even, everybody is smiling.

“Even the ladies outside in the car park.

“I think the football has been terrific, they’ve been playing attacking football.

“They’ve scored 14 goals, they’ve only conceded three.

“I think Ole Gunnar wanted that clean sheet, he got that against Newcastle.

“So it’s virtually been a perfect start and I think the smiles on everybody’s faces, from the manager, from the fans, to the players speaks volumes about the difference to how it was under Jose Mourinho.”

Solskjaer made nine changes from Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Newcastle for the visit of Reading.

Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku made their first starts under the interim boss.
