Last week, Grease star Olivia Newton-John was plagued by rumours that she had just “weeks to live,” as she battles her third round of great cancer. Olivia and her manager were quick to rubbish the rumours, and now her long-time friend Didi has added her voice in support. Appearing on Lorraine on Thursday, Didi confirmed Olivia was “doing great but laying low.”

Didi played Frenchy, the pink-haired, high-voiced beautician who ends up as a “beauty school dropout.”

She spoke about the upcoming show and her training on Lorraine.
She said: “OMG yeah, I took some spectacular falls. I think when I was young I skated sometimes with my dad because he liked to play hockey.
“But when you’re little, you’re very close to the ice, and now all I can think about is hip surgery and knee surgery.
“That’s what it’s all about, just keep challenging yourself. I have three brothers and a husband and they said ‘WHAT ARE YOU DOING?’
“I have the best partner in Łukasz Różyck. He’s brilliant and he and his wife are a team. These elite athletes, they’re awesome!”

After Olivia released a video looking healthy and bright-eyed to assure fans rumours of her death had been “greatly exaggerated,” Didi confirmed to Lorraine that she was doing well.
She said: “She’s doing great she’s laying a little low, but she’s full of light.
“What can I say? When she signs her letters she says, ‘with love and light’.
“The last song she always sings is I Honestly Love You, to her fans. She’s well.
“When she took some time off, she said she was going to be back in six months, but she was back way before then.”
