Dallas started their season poorly but rallied in their push for a playoff spot, which saw them win seven out of their last eight games and clinch the NFC East title.
But despite winning their division, Prescott admits it’s fair to judge the team on what they do in the playoffs.
“I think it’s everything,” Prescott said.
“I don’t pay attention to any stat but wins and losses.

“So, you say that a quarterback’s success depends on what they do in the playoffs – yeah, that’s where the checks get written and they make their money, to be honest.”
After their first eight games Dallas were 3-5 and many predicted it would be the end for their nine-year head coach Jason Garrett.
But at the make-or-break point for Garrett and his men, they went on to win every game bar one, the 23-0 shutout by the Indianapolis Colts, as they progressed into the post-season.
“I just think over the course of the early part of the season, we learned a lot,” Garrett said.
“We learned a lot of things from the experiences we’re having and I think we’ve grown.
“Guys have played more, they’ve played more together, and I think we’ve benefited from that.”
Prescott threw for 3,885 yards, 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions in the regular season.
The 25-year-old has had to deal with an underperforming offensive line after being sacked 56 times this season – which puts him second on the most-sacked quarterback list for 2018.
However, Prescott’s performances has impressed many and Dallas’ late come back in their final game of the season, a 36-35 victory over the New York Giants, was his 14th game-winning drive of his career.
“Our job is to win, no matter what happens, no matter how you played individually,” Prescott said.
“At the end of the day, it’s to get the job done. I’m excited for my opportunity to be back in the playoffs after missing last year, but excited for this team.”
Both the Cowboys and the Seahawks finished the season with a 10-6 record but the Cowboys will have home advantage when they meet on Saturday at the AT&T Stadium in Texas.
And Dallas executive Stephen Jones is backing a performance from Prescott.
“All I can tell you about Dak is that he wins games,” he said.
“I think that success from this position starts with winning playoff games, so it’s huge.”
