WhatsApp: How to unarchive WhatsApp chat? How to leave a WhatsApp chat?

WhatsApp is a popular chat app, with 1.5 billion people regularly reaching for it to message friends and family around the world. However, the quantity of conversations can soon add up over the years. WhatsApp has introduced a feature to treasure your messages – archive.

Archiving a WhatsApp chat makes it disappear from the main window, where they can be access and unarchive at any time.

Individual and group chats can be archived, but this can only be done with the full chat threads.

If new messages are received in the archived chat the conversation it is automatically unarchived.

WhatsApp doesn’t notify the other person of group if a conversation is archived.
