Daily horoscope on January 2: YOUR star sign reading, astrology and zodiac forecast TODAY

Between Wednesday, January 2, and Thursday, January 3, the waning Moon travels through the zodiac of Sagittarius. Sagittarius is the ninth astrological sign of the zodiac in the elemental house of fire and the constellation Sagittarius. Astrologers associate the star sign with generosity, humour and travel. People born under this sign are said to love spending time outdoors and are full of energy but can also be impatient at times.

Sagittarius’ most of all enjoy their freedom to roam freely and without restrictions and their enthusiasm is believed to be limitless.

Today, the Moon is joined by two more bodies in Sagittarius, three bodies in Capricorn and planet Mars has entered Aries.

Combined together, astrologer Debra Silverman of Astrology Answers believes the energies create the perfect conditions for natural-born leaders to emerge.

She said: “If a baby were born during this winter, they’re going to be super strong, very athletic, very direct, not taking no for answer.

“This would be a leader – a government leader in our new government where people have integrity and tell you the way it is, and stand up for you, and they’re blunt.

“All that Sagittarius and their Capricorn is grounded and Mars in Aries has energy and this is an excessively strong energy.”

The Sun and Saturn are both in conjunction today, meaning the two heavenly bodies are not separated from one another on the horoscope charts.

According to Ms Silverman, the combination describes someone with great discipline.

Then the Moon in Sagittarius sits right next to the gas giant Jupiter – an “exaggerated, loud and fun” energy.

With all of these planets positioned across the heavens, the conditions are perfect to make true on your New Year’s resolutions and get active.

Ms Silverman said: “I’m asking you to remember your agreements that you made and stick to them because there is so much Chi.

“Mercury is in Sagittarius, the Moon in Sagittarius, Jupiter in Sagittarius, Sun in Capricorn, Saturn in Capricorn, Pluto in Capricorn and Mars in Aries.

“I’m telling you its a professional athlete. So here’s the New Year resolution you wanted to get some Chi moving? Exercise. Get up.

“You know what happens is winter comes and we go in but the discipline required to still move energy – why am I 75 and only look like I’m 63? Because I’ve kept my energy moving for so many years.

“Ok, I’ve exaggerated – that’s what you do during Sagittarius – the point is how do you stay young? How do you stay active? How do you keep your Chi going?”

The answer lies in eating well, exercise and genuine laughter, the astrologer concluded.
