Stacey Dooley: ‘Not too close’ Strictly star warns Joe Sugg in New Year's backstage vid

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 stars Stacey Dooley, 31, and Joe Sugg, 27, are co-presenting BBC’s New Year’s Eve concert Madness Rocks Big Ben tonight and took to Instagram to document their antics ahead of the show. Stacey reposted a clip from BBC’s Instagram page in which Joe took over camera duties and showcased the pair’s dressed-up looks. Joe, who was wearing a smart black suit with a matching bow, said to the camera: “So as you can see I’m looking all dapper.” He then panned the camera round to Stacey and added “With my co-star”.

Joe then zoomed into Stacey, who was wearing a silver dress and smokey eye make-up.

She said: “I look so fancy.”

Stacey then faced away from the camera and jokingly said to Joe: “Not too close Joe Sugg.”

He replied: “Stunner, absolute stunner.”

She then turned to her co-star and said: “11:35 tonight, what you doing?”

Joe replied: “11:35 yes, Madness, Kingdom Choir, we are all here celebrating the new year… can’t wait.”

Stacey concluded the video, shouting: “Don’t miss it!”

Earlier today, the Strictly winner also shared a snap of the pair looking over their scripts.

Joe could be seen pulling a shocked face as he held onto a document, while Stacey also took a glimpse.

Many of the star’s 580,000 followers flocked to her page to comment.

One user wrote: “Good luck tonight!!! Excited to watch.”

A second commented: “Good luck @sjdooley and @joe_sugg. Happy New Year to you both.”

A third added: “Faves!!! Ao excited to see yous on tv tonight, massive proud moment.”

The BBC documentary presenter later shared a sneak peak of their rehearsals with a party popper emoji.

She could be seen untangling some head phones while Joe was having his hair touched-up.

Earlier this month, Stacey won the Glitterball trophy alongside Kevin Clifton.

Joe also made it to the final with his ex dance partner and now-girlfriend Dianne Buswell.
